The biblical hero David has been made in the hands of many different artists such as this version here by Donatello from the 1450s during the Renaissance. Notice the young shepherd boy at rest after beheading his mighty foe Goliath (head is under David’s foot). The original sculpture (in bronze) now rests in the Museo Nazionale, Florence where it stands 62 inches high. We are pleased to offer this classic treasure for your collection made from bonded marble on a black marble base, imported from Italy.
